Pleitez will join tech leaders and local students in conversation at tech focused event in South LA Office
LOS ANGELES – Emanuel Pleitez will be speaking about technology, start-ups, and education at a Backyard Hack-A-Thon: Bringing ‘Silicon Alley’ to South LA for local youth on Sunday, February 24th, at his South LA campaign office. Pleitez will be joined by technology start-up leaders from across the non-profit and private sectors, including Nick Cicero, Lead Social Media Strategist of LiveFyre and Andres Barreto, founder of Grooveshark and three additional start-ups.
The Backyard Hack-A-Thon will ultimately produce a website of community resources for the people of South LA and highlight Emanuel’s focus on using technology and data to drive change in the most underserved areas of the city of Los Angeles.
