Somewhere between mile 100-120, Emanuel Pleitez explains pension plan to the voter jogging with him
LOS ANGELES – While other mayoral candidates crisscrossed the city by car or train today to meet voters, Emanuel Pleitez finished his sixth straight day of voter contact by foot and bicycle. A group of supporters, many who heard of Emanuel through buzz generated about the trek, joined in to run and cycle across different regions of the city.
Voters commented on social media that they were “happy to have a candidate who runs instead of typical political fat cats” and cheered “¡Adelante Emanuel!” Pleitez picked up media coverage from Runner’s World and Runner’s World Italia, and earned the endorsement of several LA bicycle bloggers. Friends from Wilson High School reconnected with Emanuel as they recalled his days as a “hell of a quarterback” in response to photos on social media, while others commented that it takes a lot of “getting in shape for LA politics” and “lots of energy to solve Los Angeles’ problems.”
Earlier in the day, Pleitez spoke with the iconic political journalist, Fernando Espuelas, live on Univision’s 1020AM radio to receive his endorsement for LA mayor. He also spent time broadcasting his message to Mundo Fox, El Mandril from La Raza 97.9FM, ABC 7, KCAL CBS 2, and KTLA today alone.
Media is invited to attend as Emanuel Alberto Pleitez casts his ballot in the morning at his childhood elementary school in El Sereno and as he watches the Election results in the evening with a crowd of staff and supporters in Boyle Heights.
