"Emanuel Pleitez campaign for mayor of Los Angeles is gaining momentum. With $23,249.00 coming in on the last day of 2012’s reporting window, the Pleitez campaign has raised $205,697.00 to date. The fund raising achievement will be matched with Los Angeles matching funds and positions Pleitez for a dynamic, youth driven campaign challenging the city’s political establishment. The 30 year old Pleitez has his work cut out for him in a field of 14 candidates, three of which currently hold elected office.
The silver lining for Pleitez is a November 6th survey of voters leaving their polling places that showed only one-third had made up their minds about how they will vote in the March 5th Los Angeles primary. This gives Pleitez an opening he will have to exploit aggressively to move up from his 2% notch. The poll was conducted by Loyola Marymount University's Center for the Study of Los Angeles. That poll showed Wendy Greuel and Eric Garcetti neck and neck in the lead with city Councilmember Jan Perry and Kevin James trailing for 3rd and 4th places."
